It was not long ago that you were new to this institution, but now you have experience and wisdom to pass on. You have been asked by the Freshmen Orientation Group (FOG) to prepare a “Survival Guide” for first-year students. FOG has completed a study that indicates that increasing numbers of new students are dropping out because of low grades, stress, etc. This guide should address the challenges and pitfalls of the first year at Radford, and should include a brief motivational section.
